I would describe my collection as fun and luxurious. What you can wear for a weekend getaway, somewhere tropical and with great company.
What was your inspiration for this collection?
A luxury resort, I was inspired by the holiday season, beaches and the beauty of nature.
How do Vlisco fabrics influence your designs?
Vlisco fabrics are full of colour and patterns, two elements I personally love. The colours excite me and inspire creative mixes and blocking, whilst the unique patterns invoke fine detailing and creativity.
What’s your your favourite piece of the collection and why?
The strapless leotard with flair cape – it defines the collection luxury resort.
How did the collaboration with Vlisco work out for you?
The collaboration with Vlisco has been a very good partnership as Vlisco has been endorsed by the industry, and it is inspiring to use their fabrics because of it’s intriguing elements of design which was able to capture the audience, exciting to many.
What is next for you professionally?
We want to further establish ourselves in our local industry in the area of production and expansion and we are working on a collaboration with Elikem Kumordzi, She by Bena and Chocolate. We also have in the pipe line expanding our brand to other African countries.
Thank you for your time, Kyerewa!
